“Lush Life” Returns to No. 1 more than a decade after it's release

Published: 27 Jan 2026

Over ten years after its original release, Lush Life by Zara Larsson has once again reached No. 1 on the Swedish charts.

We are excited to celebrate Musikmakarna alumni Linnea Södahl and Emanuel Abrahamsson, who were part of the songwriting team behind the track — a song that continues to resonate with new audiences around the world.

Originally released in 2015, “Lush Life” quickly became a defining pop record of its time. Written during a songwriting camp in Stockholm, the track brought together a team of creatives — including Linnea Södahl and Emanuel Abrahamsson — whose work helped shape its global success.

Now, more than a decade later, the song has made a remarkable return to the top of the Swedish charts. Driven in part by renewed attention on platforms like TikTok, “Lush Life” continues to find new listeners and moments — proving its lasting cultural impact.

The track has now spent over 100 weeks on the Swedish Top 100, and has reached nearly 2 billion streams on Spotify, further solidifying its place as one of Sweden’s most enduring pop exports.

This resurgence is a powerful reminder that great songs don’t just belong to a moment — they evolve, return, and connect across generations.

Congratulations to Linnea Södahl and Emanuel Abrahamsson on being part of a song that continues to make history — and to Zara Larsson for bringing it to life. ✨
