We are now accepting applications for the Autumn Course of the Global Songwriters Program.
The Global Songwriters Program is an international songwriting course offered in two separate terms (autumn and spring), each running for three months. The upcoming application round concerns the Autumn Course.
About the Global Songwriters Program
The Global Songwriters Program is designed for songwriters and music creators who want to develop their craft in a structured, collaborative, and professionally oriented environment.
The program takes place in Örnsköldsvik, located in the High Coast, and brings together participants from a wide range of countries and musical backgrounds.
The educational model is centered around practical creation. Participants work primarily through daily co-writing sessions in professional studio settings, combined with structured input on key areas of the music industry.
Course Structure and Content
The Autumn Course runs over a three-month period and includes:
Collaborative songwriting
Daily writing sessions in rotating groups, reflecting contemporary co-writing practices within the music industry.
Songwriting camps and projects
Organized sessions with specific creative briefs, often connected to external collaborators or industry leads.
Industry interaction
Feedback sessions, presentations, and listening sessions with invited professionals such as publishers, A&Rs, and producers.
Music business and copyright
Introduction to essential topics including publishing, rights management, and creative entrepreneurship.
Studio-based workflow
Continuous access to shared studio environments, supporting both collaborative and individual work.
Participants in the program also interact with students from other courses within Songwriters Academy of Sweden, contributing to a broader creative and international writing environment.
Learning Environment
The program emphasizes collaboration, consistency, and exposure to different creative processes. By working in new constellations on a daily basis, participants are encouraged to develop flexibility, communication skills, and a clear artistic identity.
The setting in northern Sweden provides a focused environment, where the majority of time is dedicated to writing, reflection, and development.
