WHAT IS GLOBAL SONGWRITERS?
Three months dedicated to your songwriting
Global Songwriters is an international program for songwriters and producers who want to develop their craft, expand their network and take the next step in their musical career.
Based at Musikmakarna – Songwriters Academy of Sweden, you'll spend three months writing music in a creative environment alongside other songwriters and producers from around the world.
You'll work with real briefs from the music industry, receive feedback from industry professionals, take part in songwriting camps and creative projects, and get opportunities to pitch your music.

Write for current opportunities from publishers, labels and artists.
INTERNATIONAL NETWORK
Collaborate with songwriters and producers from different countries.
YOUR STUDIO ENVIRONMENT
24/7 access to the school and a shared production studio.
INDUSTRY FEEDBACK
Present your work to music professionals and receive direct feedback.
SONGWRITING CAMPS & FIELD TRIPS

By car
Örnsköldsvik is approximately 560 km north of Stockholm.
By train
Approximately 5 hours by train from Stockholm Central Station
By flight
Approximately 1 hour by air from Stockholm Arlanda to Umeå Airport or Höga Kusten Airport (Kramfors), followed by approximately 1 hour of ground transportation to Örnsköldsvik.

An 8,000 SEK registration fee is included in the tuition and is due within 14 days of admission. The remaining tuition can be paid in full or through an installment plan.
Payment options
Full Payment
Pay the full tuition fee upfront upon acceptance.
Installment Plan
Divide the tuition fee into several payments throughout the program. The number of installments and due dates will be provided upon acceptance.
Both payment options are inclusive of VAT for private payers and exclusive of VAT for corporate invoicing.
Equipment
Each international student will have full 24/7 access to the school and will be assigned a music studio to share with another student. Every studio will be equipped with a microphone, MIDI keyboard, audio interface and studio monitors. You bring your own computer and headphones, as well as any personal instruments or additional studio equipment you'd like to use.
Accommodation
We can help you find accommodation close to the school, whether you're looking for shared accommodation or a place of your own.

Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old
- English proficiency (verbal/written)
- Demonstrable songwriting and/or music production skills.
- Experience or educational background in music.
- A will and openness to work with other songwriters as the program is heavily based on co-writing.
